How Does Yotta Work?

If you've done some research on Yotta already, you'll know that a lot of new terms get thrown around when it comes to saving money with Yotta, it can be a lot to take in, but here's a few common things that are often mentioned:

  • Tickets
  • Daily Contest
  • Buckets
  • Boxes

Let's dive deeper into what these terms mean, and how it helps you to save money and win prizes.

Tickets

Tickets are the bread and butter of earning interest through prizes with Yotta.

All you have to do to earn Tickets, is to save! You get 1 Ticket, every day, for every $25 sitting in your Yotta account.

For example: if Jane has $100 in her account, she'll earn 4 Tickets today, the day after, the day after that and so on. As long as you're saving, you're earning Tickets.

There are 6 numbers on each Ticket that you can choose yourself, or let us automatically randomly pick for you! Each Ticket is a chance to earn prizes through our Daily Contests. Tickets expire after every week.

Daily Contests

Each day at 9pm Eastern Time all 6 numbers are drawn. Depending on how many numbers match on each of your Tickets, you can earn prizes!

Here's what you can win!

Buckets

Buckets are another staple Yotta feature that helps you save!

When you first create an account, you'll have 1 "Core Account" Bucket. This is your main Bucket that is associated with your account number in your settings.

But, if you want to organize your funds into specific goals or allowance, you can create new Buckets that act as sub-accounts.

For example: Jane has $100 in her Core Account which earns 4 tickets.

She wants to create a "Cellphone Bill" Bucket with a target of $15 so she know not to touch that money.

She also creates a "New Camry Down Payment" Bucket with a target of $8,000 and add's $50 to get her started.

When Jane is done she now has 3 total Buckets:

  • $35 in Core Account
  • $15 in Cellphone Bill
  • $50 in New Camry Down Payment

Her total account balance is still $100, so Jane still earns 4 Tickets per week, every day! And now she's more organized with her money!

Boxes

Boxes are the fun and exciting way to earn rewards with Yotta. Win cash prizes, tickets and more!

How do Boxes work?
